The Mexican restaurant "EL RINCON DE MEXICOLA" will have its grand opening on July 21, 2025, on the site of the former Makishi Public Market General Goods Department, along Heiwa Street, just off Kokusai Street in the heart of Naha City, Okinawa!

This cheerful and colorful "Mexican hideaway" lurks in the backstreets of Makishi.
With its Mexican hat and maracas-themed interior and vibrant colors, the restaurant creates an extraordinary space that makes you feel like you've wandered into Mexico! Pets are welcome, there's an open terrace seating area, and an "adult mezcal bar" with a carefully selected selection of mezcal and tequila. Enjoy a casual atmosphere during the day or a lively atmosphere at night, depending on the occasion.

The star of "EL RINCON DE MEXICOLA" is the tacos, made with corn flour and served in handmade tortillas in-house! They serve authentic tacos. Speaking of Mexican food, the wide variety of salsas is a fun addition, but the lineup also includes salsas made with plenty of fruits unique to the tropical island of Okinawa, such as "mango" and "pineapple"!

Another special menu item that stands out is the steak. Steak is so deeply rooted in Okinawan food culture that it's customary to end a meal with it. At EL RINCON DE MEXICOLA, we source chilled CAB Prime Angus beef through a special route, never frozen.
