■Product Concept

"Yamanashi White Peach Pale Ale" is a fruit beer built around the theme of "letting the peach speak for itself," made with a generous amount of white peaches from Yamanashi Prefecture. The moment you bring the glass close, a fresh, vivid peach aroma unfolds. The taste is slightly sweet yet clean and crisp, pairing well with everything from appetizers to desserts.

Peach is an extremely delicate fruit, known for being difficult to translate into aroma and flavor once brewed into beer. To fully express the true appeal of the peach, we used an abundance of seasonal white peaches harvested this year. We prepared approximately 250kg using multiple varieties, focusing mainly on peaches that are perfectly fine in taste and quality but don't reach the market due to their irregular shapes. Every step—removing the pits one by one and processing the fruit into a paste—was done entirely by hand. Not only the brewery team but also staff from across the company joined together to complete the brewing process.

Since peach's natural sweetness is lost during fermentation, we used "pandan leaf," whose aroma evokes vanilla and sakura mochi, to make up for that sweetness through fragrance. This herb, long cherished throughout Southeast Asia for a fragrance reminiscent of popcorn, freshly cooked rice, and young grass, is so aromatically distinctive that it's often called the "Vanilla of the Orient." This marks IWAI BREWERY's first-ever peach beer. By making the most of this year's white peach harvest just as it is, we've created a beer that lets you savor the peach's own natural sweetness.
