A blend of four plots of just 3.3 hectares in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin. Primarily from the village-name plot Les Eteroys, next to the 1er Cru Petit Chapelle. An exceptional wine, combining the power and fruitiness typical of Gevrey. Elegant aromas of black fruit. A hint of oak, with a round, smooth finish.

A rising star of Burgundy who regards the legendary Henri Jayer as his mentor, this wine perfectly embodies a style that reflects the terroir, emitting the energy of the earth. It has received rave reviews from renowned wine critics and cartoonists.

Around 10 years ago, legendary winemaker Henri Jayer, who lives nearby, visited Vigo's winery and advised him, "Make wines with pleasant fruit flavors that are truer to nature. Don't tamper with them too much during the fermentation process." This advice led Vigo to begin making wines that truly make the most of the ripe fruit and terroir.

While many winemakers today focus on concentration and intensity, Vigo is a rare domaine that faithfully expresses its terroir, producing wonderful depth and a long, complex finish thanks to its extremely low yields.
