A special brew just in time for the city’s sparkling holiday season will be available again this year starting Thursday, December 1, 2022!
Every year, Brewmaster Kengo Saito brews a limited-edition XMAS ALE with a different theme to create a drink that can only be enjoyed that year. 2020’s HOLIDAY WHEAT ALE was inspired by the classic Christmas eggnog, and 2021’s XMAS SPICED ALE, with plenty of apple juice spice to make you want to drink it in a glass of wine. This year’s theme for XMAS ALE, which makes us excited to see what this year will bring, is gingerbread cookies.
The typical European pastry essential for Christmas that reminds us of the holiday season has been recreated in beer. Don’t miss this seasonal brew with a slightly spicy aroma and ginger to warm you up.

In addition to the spicy spice of gingerbread, brown ale was used as the base to bring out the aroma of freshly baked toast. In order to produce a beautiful red color without any dullness, the temperature range during the brewing process was carefully adjusted to reproduce a bright Christmas red color. In addition to ginger powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and other ingredients, honey is also used.
By leaving in a little honey, the spices are not overpowering and are perfectly balanced. It also mellows out the carbonation and makes it more gentle on the palate.
