Shinjuku is a city where commercial facilities are concentrated and people of many races gather. Under the theme of finding your true self among the multitude of values and introducing adult American style with excellent taste in this melting pot like city, our restaurant "tavern on S" was born. Based on Italian cuisine, we offer a rich variety of menus, thinking out of the box and using recipes, spices and essences from around the world. We also offer a morning menu available from 7am. It is New American Dining which you can make use of in a wide range of scenarios according to your lifestyle.

"Tavern on S." is on a corner of "NEWoMan SHINJUKU" near the south exit of Shinjuku station. "Tavern" is derived from a Latin word meaning an "izakaya". And S is the capital letter of "Shinjuku", "Station", "Southern Terrace", and "Standard". We offer quality cuisine and service that can appeal to adults with excellent taste. The restaurant creates an atmosphere like an archive reminiscent of Manhattan's SOHO, with the wide open space of the window seats, a standing bar, glass-enclosed private rooms, and relaxing sofa seating at the back. While having a lively feeling, the open kitchen is in harmony with the moody atmosphere around the sofa seating, and the standing bar is bright and full of energy. Please enjoy the space and its mix of different static and dynamic moods, according to your lifestyle.

Based on Italian, Mexican and even Latin American cooking, our cuisine has a contemporary touch inspired by San Francisco, Portland, New York etc. Our incredibly light and crispy fried chicken or salad made with fresh vegetables and mixed grains suit the needs of healthy (guilt-free!) eating. Our breakfast sandwiches or our signature club house sandwiches are made with delicious bread from the legendary bakery "PELICAN" in Asakusa. Throughout the day, from a brief moment in the morning to lively cocktail hours, we offer a menu that you can enjoy all day.

We care about the freshness and seasonality of the ingredients used in our cooking. As for the menu at "tavern on S" the taste goes without saying, but glamorous presentation and fresh ingredients are also important to us. One of our signature dishes, tartare, is enjoyable for both serving and eating. Our square pizza is cooked in Spanish Josper oven is also unique. The freshness and seasonality of the ingredients we pick can also be seen in the "RAW" food category as we cook our ingredients simply, bringing out the flavor of the ingredients at their best. One dish we would like you to enjoy among those many menu items is our fried chicken. Blended with more than 10 kinds of spices, it's fried incredibly light and crispy. Shinjuku is a place where people of all ages and nationalities gather. Even if it's their first time and we use different languages, I want to make recommendations they can enjoy their stay here. Although there are customers who don't realize at first that this is a HUGE's restaurant since it's still a relatively new brand concept, there are guests who often ask "Is this a HUGE's restaurant?" after noticing the distinctive wine cellar ambiance and bar atmosphere. We also get a lot of guests from outside of Tokyo, and they say that they enjoyed it so much that they would love to try other HUGE restaurants like in Kyoto or Okinawa next. One of our guests from Miami said, "I wish there was a bar like this in Miami." Whenever I hear guests say things like this, it makes me very happy.
